Who is this platform for?

Operations, support, and engineering teams at any size of company. If your product depends on third-party services, PulseWatch gives you earlier awareness when those services break — and a defensible record of vendor reliability over time.

Does PulseWatch replace uptime monitoring?

No — it complements it. Uptime monitors tell you whether your own endpoints are responding. PulseWatch tells you when the third-party services your product relies on are having trouble, often before those vendors admit it on their own status pages.

Is PulseWatch affiliated with the services you monitor?

No. PulseWatch is an independent platform. We aggregate disruption signals from end users and public sources and publish aggregate views; we aren't affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any of the listed services.

How are incidents detected?

We bucket disruption signals into 15-minute windows per service, compute rolling 24-hour baselines, and open an incident automatically when current volume exceeds the baseline by a configurable multiplier. Severity scales with how far above baseline the spike is; every incident gets a confidence score.

How quickly are incidents detected?

Detection runs continuously in 15-minute buckets with baselines refreshed hourly. A sudden spike is typically detected within 5–20 minutes of the first wave of signals — often well before vendor status pages update.

How do you prevent fake or spammy reports?

We rate-limit submissions per session and IP, automatically flag bursts from a single source, weight verified accounts higher, and maintain admin moderation tools to dismiss invalid data. Flagged or rejected reports never feed the detection engine.

Where do your signals come from?

We ingest from several sources: direct user submissions, authenticated API partners, synthetic monitors that actively probe service endpoints, and optional public status-page readers. Every ingestion source is auditable in the admin dashboard.

A watchlist is a group of services you care about — for example 'Production stack' or 'Payment rails'. Dashboards, alert rules, and reporting all filter to your watchlists so you see signal, not noise.

Create an alert rule on a service or a whole watchlist, pick a severity threshold, and choose a delivery channel — in-app, email, Slack, or signed webhook. Rules include cooldowns so you don't get paged repeatedly for the same incident.

What delivery channels are supported?

In-app and email are available on every plan. Slack delivery and signed webhook deliveries are available on paid plans. Webhook payloads are signed with HMAC so you can verify authenticity.

Do you support webhooks?

Yes. Configure webhook endpoints from your dashboard and subscribe each one to the incident events you care about. Every request is signed and automatically retried on failure.

What can I do with the API?

The PulseWatch REST API exposes monitored services, current and historical incidents, 15-minute metric buckets, watchlists, and alert rules. Use it to power status widgets, sync incidents into your on-call tooling, or audit alerting coverage in code.

Which plans include API access?

API access is included on Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans. Each plan has its own per-minute rate limit and monthly quota — see the pricing page for current limits.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — permanently. The Free plan includes one watchlist with in-app and email alerts. No credit card required.

What happens if I hit a plan limit?

We stop accepting new records past the limit (for example, additional watchlist services or alert rules) and show an in-app prompt to upgrade. Your existing data is never deleted.

Can I change plans later?

Any time. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.

How do I get started?

Click 'Start watching free' on the homepage, confirm your email, and add your first services to a watchlist. Your first alert takes under two minutes.
